“Dance Forward”– the 2020 MNR Dance Factory recital– was the first virtual recital produced by Blak & Blue Dance Project. During the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic, BBDP sought a solution that would allow MNR DF dancers to showcase their hard work in a safe environment. Not only did the virtual recital allow the dancers the chance to still perform, but it also opened up viewing access to friends and family members who would normally be unable to attend the live event. In the years since, our production team has continued to incorporate livestreams in all MNR recitals, as we recognize the benefit that doing so provides to both our dancers and our audiences.
